Meet The Team

Founder & MD
Amanda Phelps
Amanda founded the Forever Savvy concept in 2011. As a parent of a young man with Down Syndrome, she wanted to create meaningful and purposeful opportunities for him after he left full-time education at 19. Disappointed by the limited services available to support, motivate, and mentor him in adulthood, she launched the first Savvy project—Horse Savvy—to provide a more fulfilling alternative.
Before founding Forever Savvy, Amanda worked as a qualified computer programmer, developing Quality Control Systems for JCB and Rolls Royce and Time Management Systems for local authorities. After the birth of her first of three sons, she transitioned to working from home as a freelance web designer.
Amanda is also a black belt in Jujitsu and a coach and business partner at Leicester Jujitsu. Alongside martial arts, she has a deep passion for horses and their ability to support emotional well-being through the Parelli Natural Horsemanship system. Her journey with horses and Parelli played a key role in shaping the Forever Savvy philosophy.
Amanda firmly believes that, with the right time and support, everyone can discover their purpose in life and reach their full potential.

Co-Director
Stacey Bedford
Stacey joined Forever Savvy as a Job Coach in October 2017, working across Café Savvy and K9 Savvy (now Creative Savvy). Her dedication and creativity quickly stood out, and in 2019, she was promoted to Creative Savvy Team Leader.
Originally training as a hairdresser, Stacey enjoyed the ever-changing nature of the work—much like Creative Savvy—where no two days are the same and fresh ideas come to life daily.
As a mum of three boys, she stays busy both at home and at work, with her children often inspiring new projects for Creative Savvy. Outside of work, her family loves spending weekends walking their dog or visiting the seaside.

Café Savvy Manager
Agnes Stradczuk
Agnes has had over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry before joining Cafe Savvy in February 2022 as the Manager.

From her long service in the hospitality, Agnes moved her career to the care sector in 2018.

She is a big believer that equal opportunities promote independence and has a passion for helping others reach their full potential. Agnes thrives off other peoples successes, which highly motivates her in her chosen career.
You can usually find Agnes Front of House at Cafe Savvy supporting the team with service, otherwise she is in the kitchen, quality testing all the delicious home made cakes. :)

Co-Director
Alice Featherstone
Alice joined Forever Savvy in 2018, initially as a farm hand during the holidays but started as a Job Coach at Horse Savvy and Café Savvy in 2019.
After a year of hard work as a Job Coach, she progressed to Team Leader of Horse Savvy in 2020.
Her love for the animals stems from her farming background and growing up on a small farm. She would ride her sister’s horse when she was much younger (although she admits it was just sitting on the horse while her mother walked the horse around) as well as helping take care of all the animals on her parents farm.
Alice first met the Phelps family when she started training in Ju Jitsu with Amanda’s husband Rob. She said “Since then I have been amazed by their positive and “anything is possible” attitude which I have used to push myself forward, not only completing my Assistant Coach at Ju Jitsu and driving me towards my Black Belt, but they have also helped me work through the Parelli levels and even working towards a qualification in dog training.”
